The Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) is the only independent, nonproﬁt 501c3 organization devoted solely to providing emergency ﬁnancial assistance and scholarships to our dedicated civilian federal and postal public servants and their families. FEEA also has a for-profit subsidiary, FEEA Childcare Services, which administers childcare subsidy programs on behalf of a number of federal agencies.
FEEA is building a community where federal public servants can support each other during personal and family emergencies and also invest in higher education scholarships for those most deserving. We envision an effective charitable safety net for and by federal employees and our partner organizations – protecting feds and giving them peace of mind so they can do what they do best and serve our fellow Americans.
FEEA was founded in 1986. Over our thirty year history we have supported more than 50,000 families with emergency loans, disaster relief grants, scholarships, and childcare subsidies all across the United States and from almost every federal department and agency.

Robert M. Tobias is currently teaching at American University where he has been a Distinguished Adjunct Professor in Residence since August 1999.
Honorable Ms. Darlene H. Young is the Immediate Past President of Blacks In Government (BIG).
Tom Burger is the Executive Director of PMA, a position he has held since retiring from the IRS in 2010.
Todd Wells is Executive Director of the Federal Managers Association and has been with FMA since 2007.
Jason Briefel is the Executive Director and Legislative Director of the Senior Executives Association (SEA).
Cory Bythrow is the Deputy Chief of Staff of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), the nation’s largest federal employee union representing 670,000 federal employees in 1,110 local chapters across the U.S. and abroad.
Joe Dirago has been on the FEEA Board since 2012. He was employed by the Social Security Administration (SSA) for thirty seven years and retired in November 2016.
Wanda V. Killingsworth has more than 25 years of public service all with the Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, where she works as a Senior Program Analyst.
Michael R. Leszcz is employed by the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, DC, and is currently on a full time assignment as National President of the Professional Managers Association.
Jenny Mattingley currently serves as the Director of the recently created White House Leadership Development Program.
Anthony M. Reardon
NTEU National President Tony Reardon was elected National President in August 2015 at NTEU’s 55th convention.
Debra L. Roth is a partner at Shaw Bransford & Roth, where she has practiced since 1989.
Dave is the elected Secretary Treasurer of NFFE.
Richard G. Thissen is the National President of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.
Joyce Warner joined FEEA as its new Executive Director in the fall of 2016. Joyce works closely with the FEEA board of directors to develop and execute FEEA’s strategy to serve federal public servants in need.
Niki Gleason has been with FEEA since 2001. As Senior Program and Operations Manager, she handles many aspects of FEEA’s day-to-day business.
Robyn Kehoe is FEEA’s Deputy Director. With FEEA since 2000, Robyn has experienced first-hand many of the major events in FEEA’s history.
Yonas Wondwossen joined FEEA in 2016 and serves as Program Manager, working primarily with the Childcare Subsidy Program.
