Privacy and Data Protection Policy
The Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) places a high priority on protecting your privacy and your data. We collect information to further our mission and this privacy and data protection policy was created in order to demonstrate our commitment to the privacy of our donors, program applicants and participants, newsletter recipients, volunteers, and website users. This policy explains what types of information are collected by FEEA, via our website www.feea.org, and through offline communication, and how this information is used.
What Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is Collected
Individuals who sign up to receive the FEEA newsletter or to volunteer with us voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name, e-mail address, postal address, phone). We may use this information for specific, limited purposes. You may always “opt out,” either now or at any time in the future, if you do not wish to receive our electronic newsletter messages.
Applicants to our programs provide specific PII as requested on our online program applications to determine their eligibility for our programs. Applicants not ultimately selected for FEEA’s programs may request their applications be deleted at any time by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Donors may provide PII in the process of making a donation to FEEA, whether online or offline. FEEA may use this information for specific, limited purposes, such as to process your donation and thank you and, if we receive your email address, to add you to our newsletter list, which you may always “opt out” of now or in the future, if you do not wish to receive our electronic newsletter messages.
FEEA uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer www.feea.org, and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.
How Your Information May Be Used
We use your personal information to provide e-mail or direct mail messages to you; to market our programs or let you know how you can support us; to review your applications for support from our programs, etc. We may also use your information to track visitors to our websites. This lets us see which of our features are the most popular so we can better serve our users’ needs. It also lets us provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying you personally, but showing how many visitors used which features, for example) to outside parties.
FEEA may also release data when we are compelled by law to do so.
Name, Email, Postal Address, and Phone Privacy
FEEA does not share, sell, or rent names, email or postal addresses, or phone numbers to anyone outside the organization.
www.feea.org includes links to other websites, some of which collect information on behalf of FEEA as part of our services (like our donation pages and online forms) where the data provided is sent to FEEA and is covered by our policies when we receive it. FEEA does not store credit card numbers. Other links are external to our site. These links do not fall under the www.feea.org and www.feeachildcareservices.com domains, and FEEA is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of external websites. Your use of any linked website is solely at your own risk.
We will use, and require our data management vendors to use, reasonable and appropriate security practices to safeguard your information. We store your data in our secure Salesforce, Dropbox, Click&Pledge, and MailChimp systems. You can find details about the security of those systems at:
