David A. Groves

The Honorable David A. Groves began serving as the 16^th National President of the national organization of Blacks In Government (BIG) on January 1, 2025. A distinguished leader and advocate for equity, inclusion, and opportunity in public service, President Groves brings over three decades of experience in organizational leadership, policy development, and community engagement.

Throughout his career, he has been a dedicated champion for the advancement of African Americans and other underrepresented groups in government. Known for his visionary leadership and collaborative approach, Groves has held numerous roles within BIG, consistently working to strengthen the organization’s mission to enhance professional development and address systemic inequities in the workplace.

While his tenure began during one of the most tumultuous times in the history of Blacks In Government, as National President, Groves is committed to execute his vision of “Building Bridges – Breaking Barriers” by expanding BIG’s impact. He will accomplish this through fostering partnerships, advocating for policy changes that promote equity and inclusion, and empowering members with innovative tools for professional success. His presidency will reflect a deep commitment to building a legacy of excellence and opportunity for future generations.
