Tropical Storm Hilary & FEEA’s Emergency Disaster Relief

byDan Jackman/August 22, 2023

FEEA Disaster Relief Grants Available for Feds in Affected Areas from Tropical Storm Hilary

The one-time category 4 Hurricane Hilary was downgraded to a subtropical cyclone before making impact with Southern California. According to NOAA as of Monday morning, Hilary is forecasted to bring an historic amount of rainfall to much of the southwest and is expected to cause life-threatening flooding including landslides and mudslides.

Our thoughts are with the affected communities in California, Nevada, Arizona, and other impacted regions. FEEA stands ready to support federal employees in need through our emergency disaster relief grants.

We understand that weather-related challenges are unpredictable. As recovery begins, help will be available for feds in affected areas through FEEA’s disaster relief program.

Feds who have temporary lodging expenses, severe damage to their homes not covered by insurance, or who lose their beds to flooding or other damage are eligible for grants of up to $500. The application is all online and mobile-friendly. Get more information and apply here. Assistance continues to be available to feds in Maui as well.
