Looking for a 2023 internship? Federal internships may be the answer.

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management is hosting a virtual panel session on Monday, February 13 at 1:00 PM ET with interns from the Department of the Interior, Environmental Protection Agency, Health and Human Services, and NASA. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the exciting internships available through the federal government and the new federal internship portal.

BENEFITS OF A FEDERAL INTERNSHIP

Internships in the federal government provide a wealth of opportunities for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience and knowledge about how the government operates. Whether you’re just starting your career or looking to take the next step, a federal internship can provide the foundation for a rewarding and successful career in public service.

TYPES OF FEDERAL INTERNSHIPS

There are many types of internships available through the federal government, making it possible to find a program that fits your interests and career goals. Whether you’re a high school student, an undergraduate or a graduate student, there are options available to you.

The Federal government offers opportunities in nearly every field (e.g. wildlife preservation, archeology, writing or editing, housing policy, cybersecurity, aerospace…just to name a few), and new internships are posted every week.

In addition to the traditional internships, the federal government also offers a recent graduate program, which provides recent graduates with opportunities to work in positions that are directly related to their academic field of study.
