Have You Heard About These 70+ Federal Employee Groups?

As part of our work we engage with many federal employee groups. These include unions, management associations, professional associations, and affinity groups. Below is a list we’ve assembled over the years of more than 70 such groups. This list includes only groups made up of large numbers of federal employees; there are many other associations federal employees also belong to that are not “federal employment” specific.
Why join one (or more) of these groups? First and foremost, to find new connections. By joining these groups you may find new colleagues, near and far, and across agencies that share common interests. You will likely receive curated content (newsletters, magazines, social media posts) relevant to the mission of the group.
Many provide virtual and in person meeting and professional development opportunities that may help you personally and professionally. Others may engage in advocacy that aligns with both the mission of the organization and your interests. There may also be an opportunity to take on a leadership role within the group.
