FEEA Disaster Relief Grants Available for Feds in Affected Areas

Even as feds in Puerto Rico are still in the early stages of recovery from Hurricane Fiona, feds on Florida’s west coast are bracing for the full effects of Hurricane Ian. We hope our #fedfamily will stay safe and pay attention to local authorities regarding evacuations or sheltering in place.

As recovery begins, help will be available for feds in affected areas through FEEA’s disaster relief program.

Feds who have temporary lodging expenses, severe damage to their homes not covered by insurance, or who lose their beds to flooding or other damage are eligible for grants of up to $500. The application is all online and mobile-friendly. FEEA offers disaster relief grants to eligible federal employees when these disasters strike. FEEA has given over 14,000 grants since 1986, for wildfires, hurricanes, and other natural disasters, as well as for groceries, fuel, and diapers during the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.
