Remembering the Federal Fallen and Their Families, Today and Always

the Pentagon Memorial, looking down the path toward the building, with memorial benches off to each side

20 Years Remembered

Today, we pause to think of the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, those who were injured, and the first-responders who risked their lives. Our hearts are with all the families who lost a loved one.

The 56 minor children missing a federal employee parent have been a huge part of our FEEA family for the last 20 years as they reached college age and received our survivor scholarships, which fully covered undergraduate tuition, room and board, books, and fees. We are so very proud of all these now-grown children for persevering, in school and in life, after the tragedy of 9/11 reshaped their worlds. While our direct role in their lives concluded when the youngest survivor graduated from college earlier this year, we will always hold them in our hearts and continue to wish them health and happiness in their lives.
