It’s Standardized Test Season!
For many K-12 students across the country, it’s getting to be time for state-mandated standardized testing. If your student is struggling with the basics of any of the testing categories, now would be a great time to get them some extra help from a 1:1 online tutor.
FEEA’s partnership with Tutor.com provides free, on-demand, online tutoring for K-12 kids with a qualifying federal employee parent. Whether it’s a particular math concept or English grammar causing frustration, a qualified tutor can often help kids “get” a concept even where parents or teachers haven’t been able to.

And for high school students, there’s also extra self-guided help in the form of practice tests for core subjects like English, Algebra, Chemistry, and Geometry, as well as AP Biology, Calculus AB, World History, and U.S. History. After logging in, click the “Take a practice test” box to see available subjects, or “Other Tools” to find AP/SAT prep options.
FEEA thanks the Federal Long-Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) for sponsoring the launch of this program, and the BlueCross BlueShield Association for enabling us to support more federal families.
FLTCIP was established by Congress in 2000 and is overseen by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. The FLTCIP knows that many families are struggling right now trying to balance work and school, and that some children may be falling behind. At its core, the FLTCIP is about helping federal family members prepare for the future. To help your family prepare for future long term care needs, visit the program’s new Guided Planner tool.
The BlueCross BlueShield Association, part of the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program (FEHBP), is a long-time sustainer of FEEA’s mission and programs via annual contributions, as well as additional support in extraordinary times.
