YOU Can Make a Difference

Each year, the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) gives federal employees the option to make a donation to one or more charities via direct deduction from a paycheck throughout the year, or as a one-time gift. FEEA is here to tell you those gifts to CFC# 11185 really DO make a difference for feds in need.

Meet Maria*. Maria is a federal employee who, along with her husband, became very ill with COVID-19. Sadly, Maria’s husband passed away from the illness and she was left trying to recover on her own while dealing with her grief and the loss of her husband’s income. FEEA was able to provide a bereavement grant to Maria, which gave her a little breathing room at a very difficult time.

Maria is just one of more than 150 federal employees we have provided assistance to as a result of the pandemic so far. Thanks to generous donors, we are also providing grants and no-fee, no-interest loans to federal employees who have pandemic-related LWOP, as well as continuing to help feds with everyday emergencies through our emergency assistance program. We have also provided nearly 6,000 reusable masks to federal employees who need them, many of whom are on the frontlines serving the public.

During these challenging times, we are so grateful to all the federal employees who continue to do the work of our nation and we are honored to be able to assist many who are facing particularly difficult circumstances due to the pandemic. We also continue to provide natural disaster assistance, college scholarships, and #FedLifeHacks (practical and adaptable strategies and information for living your best fed life) to all federal civilian and postal employees.
