  • Kelly Pesanelli received her B.S. In Health Sciences from Boston University and went on to complete her Master’s in Physical Therapy also at Boston University. After graduation she worked in the Occupational Medicine Department at the New England Baptist Hospital for 10 years. She continued her Physical Therapy practice at the Ryan Center for Sports Medicine for the next seven years with a primary focus on Occupational Injuries. During this time she started an injury prevention program for all Boston University Custodians and Trades Workers. She then joined the Faculty at Boston University’s Sargent College for Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She currently works at Boston University as a Senior Lecturer with a primary focus on the US Health Care System and the Prevention of Occupational Injuries.

  • Melissa Afterman MS-HFE, CPE Melissa Afterman is the founder and principal Ergonomist of Learn Ergo, a consulting firm specializing in virtual ergonomics workshops and personal evaluations aimed at reducing risk and optimizing performance. She is a Board Certified Professional Ergonomist with over 20 years of consulting experience in office, laboratory and manufacturing work environments. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she has continued to provide the same level of service, virtually, expanding her services to include home office ergonomics evaluations and group trainings. Melissa is also a consultant with the University of California Ergonomics Research Lab and an instructor in the Online Ergonomics Training Program presented by the Northern California’s Center for Occupational and Environmental Health. Melissa’s background is in Engineering and Dance. She is a lifetime mover and stretcher, with a current passion for Pilates and teaching people to build comfortable movement into their workdays.

  • Coletta J Meyer, MS, MCHES®, CWPC – Health & Wellness Manager, GEHA. Coletta received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and spent a year overseas in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Sergeant in the United States Army Reserves. The need for continuous growth pushed her to earn a Master of Science in Health Science while managing a higher education fitness center and developing and teaching academic classes. This experience pushed Coletta to become a master certified health education specialist and certified wellness program coordinator. Coletta is an enthusiastic and powerful speaker on health and wellness and has spent the last fifteen years writing and implementing results-based wellness strategy for organizations. She consults and mentors health promotion professionals to help create well-being programs that will generate lasting healthy behavior changes at an individual level and organizational level.

  • Karen Andujar uses her experience and training as a nutrition coach, personal trainer, life coach, and yoga and mindfulness instructor to support individuals, groups and organizations in achieving optimal wellbeing. With nearly 15 years in the federal government, Karen has spent the last seven years serving federal employees as a facilitator and educator in the areas of wellness and wellbeing. Karen understands the chronic and acute stress that comes from working in bureaucracy and believes that small changes, coupled with a connection to our individual purpose, make a big difference in how we manage and grow our energy and resilience. A path born out of chronic health struggles and environments high in stress, Karen holds certifications with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Precision Nutrition, Veterans Yoga Project, the Himalyan Institute, and is currently getting her MS in Health Promotion with the Maryland University of Integrative Health. Karen is grateful to combine her passion with service.
