Atlantic Hurricane season starts on June 1, 2019, so if you live in or near an area prone to hurricanes, now is the time to ensure you’ll be ready to withstand storm surge, flooding, high winds, and coastal hazards. You can find additional advice and resources from the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes (FLASH). And FEMA offers lots of general hurricane safety tips on its site.

Be sure your family has a disaster plan, and find additional resources if your family includes someone with a disability, kids, pets, or seniors.

Be prepared and stay safe this summer!
