December is National Impaired Driving Prevention Month, a time when federal, state, and local law enforcement come together to educate the public about how to keep themselves and others safe on the roads during the holiday season. In the last 5 years, more than 4,000 people lost their lives to drunk or drugged drivers during the holiday season. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration wants you to remember to “Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over”.
NHTSA also encourages everyone to download their Safer Ride mobile app, which helps call a taxi or pre-determined friend for a ride and identifies your location for pick-up in case you can’t.
You can also sign-up for a ride-sharing service like Lyft to be sure you always have
the option to let someone sober do the driving. Use code FEEA when you download the app and you’ll get a discount and they’ll donate to FEEA!
FEEA wishes you and your loved ones a happy and safe holiday season.
