Hurricane season 2018 started on June 1. As we know from last year’s active hurricane season, even storms that are downgraded from Hurricane to Tropical Storm can still wreak havoc with wind and water. Learn more about how you can stay safe during hurricanes at https://www.weather.gov/safety/hurricane-plan.
Last year, FEEA responded to Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, giving support to more than 150 federal families across Florida, Georgia, Texas, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. FEEA helped replace waterlogged beds, pay for temporary lodging, and buy lots and lots of drywall and flooring.
Your gift could help someone like Sonia*, a federal employee in the Houston area whose home needed extensive wall and floor repair after three feet of water and mud inundated it. Thanks to donors like you, FEEA helped Sonia, along with nearly 10,000 other federal employees recovering from disasters during our 32-year history.
Will you please help FEEA prepare for hurricanes and other disasters by making a donation today? Your gift will be doubled thanks to a generous matching pledge from the BlueCross BlueShield Federal Employee Program.
FEEA is the only independent, national, charity for federal employees and by federal employees. All FEEA’s programs, are made possible by our generous individual and organizational sponsors who donate directly and pledge to CFC #11185 each year.
