FEEA's Hurricane Fund was established in order to provide special assistance to civilian federal and
postal employees suffering the effects of hurricanes. The Fund provides financial assistance in the
form of tax-free grants and/or no-interest loans to eligible employees and their families who suffer
loss as a result of a hurricane. Grants are intended to provide immediate, short-term assistance
before insurance claims and/or FEMA assistance arrive.
In 2005, FEEA provided more than 4,000 federal families with over $1,800,000 in relief grants after
Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma in Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana and other Gulf Coast states.
FEEA accepts donations to the Hurricane Fund year-round, in order to be prepared to assist right
away when disaster strikes.
Donations to the fund may be made via credit card on FEEA's web site, or by sending a check to:
FEEA HURRICANE FUND, 8441 W. Bowles Avenue, Suite 200, Littleton, CO 80123-9501.
